The doors open at 5:00pm! Seats are limited so we suggest that you arrive early. There will be speeches and the performances will begin at 7:30pm. Each contestant will perform two songs of their choice and later they will perform their original song for the contest. The Century Celebration Song-Writing Contest is held at Bard & Banker to start off the special events and activities from March 27th - March 30th, to celebrate the Victoria Cougars winning hockey's greatest prize (The Stanley Cup) against the Montreal Canadiens. The Century Celebration is being organized by the Victoria Hockey Legacy Society.

"This historic event is a big deal and we wanted to do something special to mark the centennial of this milestone," said John Wilson, co-chair of the Victoria Hockey Legacy Society. "You can trace our history as a hockey town to this date 100 years ago, and the sport continues to be cherished today. I can't wait to hear how some of our local songwriters celebrate this historic event in song."
